Baptism!

Hey! Yesterday I had my first baptism. It was amazing! It was a mother and her daughter that got baptized. After the mom came up out of the water she just stood there taking it all in. I loved it. I can't remember the last baptism I saw in real life. I slightly forgot how important it is. It is literally the first step to move towards Christ. I have been so grateful for the opportunity to teach her! Her daughter was amazing as well. She always has a smile on her face so she was beaming so big on Sunday!
This week went by to fast but I have a few highlights. One comes from the 14 year old boy we are teaching. His mom got baptized in December and he didn't know yet so we started teaching him. We visited with him on Tuesday then again later on in the week. As we taught him the second time he told us he was ready to take the steps to be baptized. It was incredible. He is pretty shy but you can tell he is super excited.

Also I ate at this member's house in the ward. We eat at member's houses all the time and the food is ALWAYS so good. But this particular day the Elder's had been invited over and not us. They called her to see if we could come and she said she hadn't invited us over because she didn't think we would like it. I can't tell you how much I ate all I know is that I didn't stop eating forever! I also know that I was full for probably two days after. I need to take notes from everyone and learn how to cook!
Last thought. This last week we went visiting a few members that live in this area. One we found is less-active. We caught her at home and as we talked to her we learned that she had not been to church for 2 years. I have no clue why but after we left I thought about it more. She has only been a member for 5 years and was active for 3. I realized that it only took her not going to church once to lead her into a spiral of inactivity. Isn't that crazy? One Sunday! I realized how important it is to care for our visiting and home teachie's. It is so important to look after the one and leave the 99. My hope is that each of you will look for someone who maybe needing a extra hand and look after that one. You have no clue what good it will do.

I better run but I love you!
