hi

Dear Family, We have transfers again this week but this time things are a little different. In the past we would get a call on Friday if you were training or going to be in a Zone Leader or District leader position. On Saturday everyone else would get called and you would find out where you were going and who your new companion was. On Monday you would pack up and leave for your new area. Now we get called Saturday night to find out we are leaving but we don't know where too. After that the calls to train or a Zone leader or District leader are made but still you don't know where. On Thursday (this week) all the missionaries getting transferred go to a meeting and you find out where you are going and who your new companion will be. We found out that my companion will be leaving Saturday night and last night we found out she is going to English speaking and that she will be training, which means she will be white washing! I am super excited for her! It was a complete shock! We would have never guessed. I know she will be an amazing missionary! I can't wait to meet her new companion! I am staying and getting a new companion but I don't know who yet. I know it is one of the 3 Spanish Hermanas and all 3 of them are great! 2 of them I have been companions with for a day and the 3 one I know a lot about since my current companion and her are really good friends. I will find out Thursday though so I will tell you all about her next week. It means I have another transfer on bike. Luckily the weather is getting cooler though. This is the transfer that we get to have general conference again! I can't wait. I think we are down to 30ish days on my count down! I had my first drop lesson this week. We have this family that we have taught so much to. We have gone through all the lessons and taught them everything we know. We didn't know what else to teach them. We spent a whole hour preparing our lesson for them. We went over and taught them. The spirit was super strong. We really didn't want to stop teaching them but they haven't been reading and I think they didn't understand what we do as missionaries which is find, teach and baptize. I was the one that gave them the "we are at a point in teaching you so we want to know what questions you have" and "we really need you to read your scriptures and pray this week". We thought everything was fine and dandy but later on in the week we got a call from the investigator. She told my companion that she didn't like the comment that I had made. I felt really bad. It is hard to stop teaching people cause you grow to love them. I have just been in the area and my lack of not knowing Spanish very well as limited me to getting to know them as well as I wanted to. I can see why they maybe took it the wrong way. I am hoping we can do some damage control this week. I feel super bad. My intention wasn't to cause hurt feelings or anything but to re-emphasize that our purpose is to teach and maybe if they read they could ask questions and we could answer them. We will see how it goes! On a lighter note, our investigator (the 17 year old I told you about last week) was sick and couldn't come to church. BUT HIS MOM CAME!!!!! It was amazing. We were super excited. She even came to the baptism we had later on in the day! I am really hoping she continues to come! I can't wait to see her follow the example of her son. It is something he hoped, he hoped that as he choose to get baptized maybe his family would see the change in him and want it too. She is making amazing progress! I am super excited! Well I love you all! Have a great week! -Hermana Fish
