I LOVE MY MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In case I haven't told you before I LOVE MY MISSION!!!!!! Seriously! Seriously! This last weekend we had a HUGE stake activity. It was called Dia de espanidad. In the Gym they had tables representing every South American country. At the tables the members made food from that particular country. After everyone ate and chatted they had preformances. There were so many different kinds of dances. It was so wonderful! My trainer Hermana Erickson, who is now engaged, came with her fiancee. It was great to see her. I got a little glimpse of what it would be like to come back after being home for a little. Since my old area is in our stake I was able to see all the people I love so much and see the people from the area I am serving now. PLUS since our stake is the whole valley we have two zones. One Zone is the El camino zone where I have been my whole mission and the other is the Burbank zone. We hardley see the other zone because they have a building the go to that is closer to where they live.  Anyway we got to see all the missionaries in the other zone as well. It was a really great experience. I felt like it was a mini mission reunion. My companion and I were talking about how this activity probably won't happen very many other places. I think we are the only Spanish Stake in the mission all the other wards throughout the mission are combined into the English Stake. AND if we were serving in another country they wouldn't have it because most of the time you live in the country you were born in for example you wouldn't go to el salvador and find enough spanish speakers to make up a stake. So only here in California full of tons of different countries being represented do you find a activity like this. They did have a table for the USA. Guess what our dish of food was? Hot dogs and chips! haha The kids sure loved that! haha It was a really wonderful day! And at the end I realized how much I love my mission! I am going to have a hard time going back to English life. I don't know what it is about Spanish speakers. I just love them!

Yesterday I was kissed on the cheek by a two drunk men! I was so grateful I was so short because my poor companion was kissed on the neck. This is what happened. The other day my companion and I found this family outside. We talked to them and they told us we could come back. The Father was drinking that day but the mom was super nice! We were in the neighborhood yesterday and decided we would go by. We knocked on the door and the two daughters told us they were out back. We went and found them and they all were totally drunk. We are not sure if the women were but 3 drunk men and 2 women who were semi doesn't not equal a good lesson. I was able to talk to one of the women who seemed to be the most sober. She agreed to have the missionaries come by. She told me she had heard a little bit from a friend about out church. We were able to get her address but we are thinking she lives outside our area. We will have to give the information to the Elder's but anyway we were leaving and the one who we had met earlier on in the week decided he would give us a hug. He was super drunk so it was a quick little hug for me from both of them. My companion had been talking to them the whole time while I was talking to the women and she is a lot taller then me. She was lucky enough to get a kiss on the neck from both of them. haha Oh geez! We walked away and just laughed. We are going to go back and try and teach the wife but we will have to avoid the drunk husband. It was a funny experience. I have learned to avoid these type of situations. I don't know what we were thinking. Oh well it makes for a good story. haha

The family of the 17-year is progressing very well! They all came to church this Sunday and liked it. We are teaching them again next week. We would like to see them more but they are NEVER home during the week. I am super excited to see what happens over the next few months. The dad has been the one that is asking the most question. I think he really wants to make sure that he is making the right decision. I think it is good. I know sometimes people committ to baptism without thinking or knowing what they are doing. This can lead to being in active. I really think it is so great when people have a true desire to find out for themselves.

Oh no! I don't know where my time went I have to go write President! I love you all!
